Shooting Stars defeated Sunshine Stars 1-0 in a thrilling South West derby at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne on Saturday.

Otakho Aghahowa scored the winning goal two minutes before the half hour mark.

It was the Oluyole Warriors first away win of the season.

Shooting Stars lost their previous two South West derbies against Ikorodu City and Remo Stars.

Gbenga Ogunbote’s side also won back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Sunshine Stars are now winless in their last three league games.

Earlier on Saturday, Nasarawa United defeated Lobi Stars 1-0 in the South West derby.

Seven matchday 16 fixtures will be played across different venues on Sunday.
