Former Super Eagles winger John Utaka has backed Jerome Adams to become a key player for the team .

Adams has represented Nigeria at the U-20 level but is still waiting for his maiden invitation to the Super Eagles.

Utaka tipped the Montpellier forward to make the most of his Super Eagles chance when he gets it.

“Adams is a potential Super Eagles striker,” Utaka told Brila FM.

“He’s a hard worker, has a good size for a striker and a great mindset.

“I believe he will take his chance in the national team when he is handed one.”

The forward is currently recuperating from the injury he sustained before the last international break
