Bayern Munich great Lothar Matthaus has welcomed the appointment of Thomas Tuchel as new manager.
Former Chelsea manager Tuchel replaced Julian Nagelsmann after his dismissal on Friday.
Matthaus told Kicker: “I assume that the team under Tuchel will become more stable again and that there will not be so many swings in performance.
“Many games under Julian Nagelsmann were not Bayern-like, the swings were too big. It was too much trouble.”
On the weekend clash with Borussia Dortmund, Matthaus also said: “Bayern will win because they are nervous, which is rarely nice for the opponent. Experience of games like this, the home advantage and the winning mentality are in their favour.”
