Union Saint-Gilloise Nigerian forward Victor Boniface has been named Europa League Player of the Week.
UEFA announced Boniface as the most outstanding player on their Europa League Twitter handle on Friday.
The 22-year-old beat off competition from Argentina World Cup winner Paulo Dybala, Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes and Burkina Faso defender Edmond Tapsoba.
Boniface bagged two goals in Union Saint-Gilloise‘s 3-3 draw at Union Berlin in Thursday’s round of 16 first-leg tie.
His brace against the German team took his tally to five goals in seven appearances in the Europa League.
