Super Eagles striker, Cyril Dessers, scored two goals which unfortunately was not enough as Cremonese lost 3-2 away to Sassuolo in Serie A on Monday.
Dessers replaced Black Stars of Ghana forward Felix Afena-Gyan prior to the start of the second half.
Dessers has now scored five goals in the Italian top-flight this season.
His Nigerian teammate, David Okereke, was replaced in the 66th minute.
Armand Laurienté gave Sassuolo the lead on 26 minutes off a free kick from the edge of the box.
Cremonese reacted with Frank Tsadjout who pounced on a corner kick but hit the post with a header.

Davide Frattesi made it 2-0 in the 41st minute after The receiving the ball inside the box from Laurienté before placing it at the far post.
Dessers pulled a goal back in the 62nd minute and then made it 2-2 with seven minutes left to play.
But with six minutes in added time, Sassuolo scored the winner through Nedim Bajrami who received a perfectly-timed pass and found the net with a powerful right-foot finish.
