An official source in Turkey told Completesports.com that the girls are in high spirits and raring to go and do well at the world cup adding the training tour was very rewarding for the team’s build-up

“We played two friendly games in Turkey, the first one against Galatasaray ladies. Head coach Bankole Olowookere executed the match with our first team and we won but lost the match against Fenerbahce because we fielded the second team,” one of the coaches divulged in a telephone chat with Completesports.com

“From those two games, we saw sharpness and improved tactical play from the girls and hopefully, they will be very competitive in the competition proper. Their form and commitment are giving us the optimism that we shall excel in India.”
