Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, believes Cristiano Ronaldo will not be willing to remain at Old Trafford and sit on the bench for others in the Premier League.

Recall that the Portuguese international was benched in the team’s 1-0 win over Southampton on Saturday.

Speculations are swirling over the 37-year-old’s future as the transfer window draws to a close.

Even without starting, the Portugal international again got plenty of camera time on Saturday.

“He’ll be fuming 100 per cent,” the former defender said on BT Sport about Ronaldo being benched.

“We’ve all worked with superstars before, we’ve seen players be dropped before, not in the starting eleven, and they don’t understand it.
