WAFCON 2022: Nnadozie, Efih Hail Super Falcons Despite Defeat To Morocco

The duo of Chiamaka Nnadozie and Peace Efih have praised the Super Falcons following their gallant performance against Morocco in the semi-finals of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup Of Nations (WAFCON).

The Falcons of Nigeria lost 5-4 on penalties to the Morocco after 120 minutes of football ended 1-1 on Monday.

After dominating most part of the first half, it was not the best of starts in the second half as Halimotu Ayinde was sent off for a foul.

Despite going a player down, the Falcons took the lead on 62 minutes through an own goal by Yasmin Mrabet.

But just four minutes later Morocco equalized and in the 71st minute Rasheedat Ajibade was also sent off for a bad tackle.

And despite the defeat, both Nnadozie and Efih praised their teammates for their performance.

Efih took to Twitter to commend the team.

“Am so proud of this team Up super falcons,” Efih tweeted.

And Women of the Match, Nnadozie, wrote on Twitter:”BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD.”

Meanwhile, the Falcons will hope to end the tournament on a high when they face Zambia in the third-placed game on Friday.
