WAFCON 2022: Plumptre Doubtful For Super Falcons Vs Botswana Clash

Ashleigh Plumptre remains doubtful for Super Falcons’ crucial Group C clash against Botswana at the Prince Moulay Al-Hassan Stadium, Rabat on Thursday (today).

The centre-back played the entire 90 minutes in Nigeria’s 2-1 defeat to the Banyana Banyana of South Africa on Monday night.

The Leicester City defender trained alone on Wednesday prompting fears she might not be available to face the debutants.

Plumptre will undergo a late fitness test ahead of the game.

Barcelona Femeni striker Asisat Oshoala has already been ruled of the entire competition as a result of a knee ligament injury.

Botswana top Group C on goal difference following their 4-2 win against fellow debutants, Burundi on Monday.
