Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta admits Alexandre Lacazette is the next in line for the captaincy at the club.
The Gunners have stripped Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of the captaincy due to a disciplinary matter.
Lacazette captained the side as they defeated West Ham United 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.

Asked about Lacazette as a leader, Arteta said: “It’s in his nature. He’s not a selfish player. He’s a player that’s happy when they make the team better.”
He added on the captaincy: “Well he’s the next in line and he’s taken it the way everybody played today with such pride and commitment. I’m really proud of it.”
