I Should Have Given Tomori More Playing Time At Chelsea -Lampard

Former Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard has revealed that he’s unhappy not to have given Fiyako Tomori more playing time when he was at Stamford Bridge.

The ex-Blues manager gave Tomori his chance in the first-team during the 2019/20 season.

Competition for places saw the Englishman leave Chelsea for AC Milan in January, where he has rapidly transformed his game.

Lampard said: “It was a difficult story because we had too many CBs and I wanted to help him but I’m not sure he understood that.

“It is hard when you are at the top level because it is so cut-throat and there are always difficult periods for young players.”
