Awoniyi To Join Liverpool For Pre- Season Training

Nigeria forward Taiwo Awoniyi is expected to link up with Liverpool for pre-season training next week, Completesports.com reports.

Awoniyi was granted work permit about a month ago by the British goverment.

The striker is yet to play in an officials game for the Reds since arriving the club for a fee around £400,000.

Awoniyi signed a contract extension with Liverpool in 2018 which expires in 2023.

The 23-year-old has spent time on loan with clubs in Holland, Belgium and Germany.

He scored five goals and bagged three assists in 21 league apperances for Union Berlin during the last campaign.
