Former Nigerian striker, Jonathan Akpoborie has kicked against the decision of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to prosecute the forthcoming international friendly game against Mexico with the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) players.

Recall that a 25-man list that has the likes of goalkeepers John Noble, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, and Anayo Iwuala was announced on Sunday by the technical crew ahead of the friendly game that will hold inside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on July 3.

The game is expected to serve as a preparatory ground for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

Reacting to the development, the former Wolfsburg star told Completesports.com that the NFF has defeated the essence of organizing the friendly game for the Super Eagles.
