Ajayi and his teammates will begin their Premier League campaign on Sunday against Leicester City.

“We are not here to make up the numbers we are here to compete and show everyone how good we are,” he told BBC Sport.

“Underestimate us at your peril. We’ve got a good side and hungry individuals who are looking to make a name for themselves at this level, including me.”

Ajayi scored five goals in 43 league appearances for West Brom last season.
