Leon Balogun made a winning start to his Rangers career following their 1-0 victory at 10-man Aberdeen on Saturday, in the first game of the 2020/2021 Scottish Professional Football League season, Completesports.com reports.
Also in action for Rangers was Balogun’s Super Eagles teammate Joe Aribo. Both players featured for 90 minutes.
Ryan Kent’s goal on 21 minutes was the difference between the two sides – with Rangers dominating throughout and limiting Aberdeen to very little in front of goal.

It was just the start Rangers were looking for to build on a strong pre-season, and sends them to Germany for their UEFA Europa League last-16 tie with Bayer Leverkusen.
Aribo almost doubled Rangers lead in injury-time but his effort was cleared off the line by
Ash Taylor.
And with four minutes to go, Aberdeen were reduced to 10-men with Andy Considine sent for a hefty lunge on substitute Scott Arfield.
Rangers’ next league game comes up next Sunday at home to St. Mirren.
