Oba Otudeko was born on August 18, 1943.
Oba Otudeko is a Chartered Banker, Chartered Corporate Secretary and a Chartered Accountant.
Oba Otudeko is the founder and Chairman of Honeywell Group of Companies; Chairman of Airtel Nigeria and Fan Milk Nigeria Plc. Oba Otudeko’s company has subsidiaries that includes Honeywell Oil and Gas Limited.
Oba Otudeko was a member of Board of Directors of First Bank Nigeria Plc for about 12 years. He was also member of the Boards of different institutions and establishments including the Central Bank of Nigeria, Guinness Nigeria Plc and Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI). Oba Otudeko has been the President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
In recognition of his contributions to the economic and social development of Nigeria Oba Otudeko was honored by the Federal Government of Nigeria with the titles: Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) in December 2000, Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) in November 2002 and Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) in November 2011.
In the year 2014, Forbes Magazine named Oba Otudeko as the 46th richest man in Africa.
