This exceptional retired Chief Superintendent of Police served as Aide – de – Camp (ADC) to former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bayero Nafada and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon.Aminu Tambuwal, CFR. For close to seven years, he served as ADC and later Chief Security Officer (CSO) to Governor Tambuwal of Sokoto State. He understands the workings of the Federal Parliament and the executive arm of government.

His entry into partisan politics was greeted with applause and enthusiasm by the people of Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency of Taraba State. They are happy that their famous son who had put them on the national map has come home to seek their mandate to offer quality representation at the national level. His campaigns under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) were carnival – like. He has rekindled the people’s hope.

The elections were more of an affirmation. He won with a landslide. He scored 43,315 votes to defeat his closest rival, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who scored 20,891 votes.

The blue blooded super cop will be a big hit in the Green Chamber. He is resourceful and articulate. He understands developmental issues and concerns.
