27 students and three teachers kidnapped from the Federal Government College in Birnin Yauri, Kebbi State, have been released.

Two male and one female teacher, two girls, and twenty-five boys made up the group. For four months, they were kept in captivity.

On Thursday, Governor Atiku Bagudu announced their release while speaking to students in Birnin Kebbi.

Bagudu expressed gratitude to God for their release and advised them to view their kidnapping as a test from God.

“Even Prophets of Allah, who are the best and most faithful people, had been tested and tried.

“One thing is certain: if you are tested and tried and you become patient, the sky is your limit and only Allah knows your reward,” he said.

Bagudu prayed for the rescue of those yet to be released.

The governor assures that efforts are ongoing to get them freed.
