Traditional rulers in Ondo State have said the next President of Nigeria should be from the Southwest extraction.

The monarchs stated that the region is well poised to produce the next President in 2023

This was stated by the monarchs when the South West Agenda for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (SWAGA 23) visited them in their various palaces.

The team (SWAGA) is made up of former elected lawmakers, politicians, loyalists and supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who are campaigning and promoting the presidential ambition of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

At the palace of the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, he urged members of SWAGA not to be divided.

Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Victor Kiladejo who spoke through Chief Odofin of Ondo, urged them to help actualize the Tinubu’s ambition.

At the palace of the Abodi of Ikale in Okitipupa Local Government Area of the State, Oba George Faduyile said Tinubu is the best candidate from Southwest for the office of president in 2023. He also stated that he supports the idea of Tinubu as president.

On his part, Senator Dayo Adeyeye, the National Chairman of SWAGA, said the Southwest should produce Buhari’s successor and that the presidential rotation should be between just the North and the South.
