Arise oh compatriots
Arise oh Nigerian chariots
Sons and daughters of the motherland
Proudly african like the sound of a marching band
With a diverse tongue, and black on our skin
Standing as one, we are united as a kin
A home to all and sundry
A paradise like Eden
Spreading love beyond our boundaries
Under our rich soil precious germs God has hidden
To many heroes my Nation has given birth
We are established in every corner of the earth
Our memories and glories past shall fade away
Only when the sun no longer gives its ray
I love my country, I no go lie
I'll always be a proud Nigerian till the day that die
