THE WORD
a. In the beginning was the Word
The Word was with God
And the Word was God,
He is God’s life.
b. The same was in the beginning
All things were made by Him
And without Him
Was nothing made.
c. In Him was life;
And the life was the light of men
And without Him
Was nothing made.
d. The light shined in darkness
Who couldn’t comprehend
And without Him
Was nothing made.
e. There was a man
Who came to bear witness
Of that light
His name was John.
f. He was not the light
But came to bear witness
Of that light
Who was Jesus.

g. This Jesus makes my life better
He blesses me
And makes me just what I should be.
h. He lifts me higher
He prospers me
And makes me fruitful in all things.
i. He lifted me
Above the waters
And calmed every storm on my ways.
j. He sets my feet
On solid rock
And guides me safely to the top.
k. He lifts me up
And takes me higher;
He lifts me up to higher ground.
