we heard it all
once and over again
he shall come again
but, more
like a thief
we had heard it
preached in buses
and along the roads
repent!
for his kingdom is at hand
have you not heard
that the living shall envy the dead!
poor souls
of what use is life
when the bones are not eager to live
again
i’ve been a witness
before my owl’s eye
men ate men
and
the living begged for death
i witnessed it
bathed in owns blood
all was taken, all
even
the air that was free
he will come again!
then
men must have changed
beasts
beasts to men
