I sat in a panel for myself
I looked with another's eye
Upon my life, the subtle, simple bits
Of time, that make me, me.
I sat in a survey for myself
Watched good intentions go awry
In truth the many, monstrous fits
Of anger that tainted me.
I sat in a sČance for myself
my purpose being to descry
For past mistakes made, wide open pits,
Traps that I'd laid down for me
I danced in a fete for myself
I celebrated the lie
I matched my friends at a game of wits
For the first time I loved me!
