Joy and excitement it was all the way
In the midst of life's struggles it was fun anyway
Who said you can have fun the adversary screams
Do not think you can live your dreams
I will stand and block your paths
In the midst of all your friends, I will stop your chats.
Forging day by day, I took my strenght from God
The one who cleaned me up and made me good
In all my walks I chose to walk by his rules
No situation could kill my zeal
Even through hell and high water
I chose to have a joyful laughter.
The enemy came a crawling
Pretending to be helping
Naivity got the best of me
Temptations made me want to flee
It was one accusation after another
People began to see me as a burden altogether.
I resloved to look up
Holding on to the one who sees all things
Who will help me out of this mess
It was one question after another
Suddenly the one that stands in heaven spoke
Saying I have come to give you hope.
I looked up in utter amazement
At one clothed in dazzling garment
With outstretched hands he says Son rejoice.
He said be of good cheer and keep your peace
I looked around to know see my accusers
They were filled with terror
What happened to you I asked
In chorus they answered
You are right and we are wrong
You are good and we are bad.
Your God is fighting for you.
Show us the way to win and win
You are free we are bound
Show us the way to true freedom they pleaded
So that we can stand like you Vindicated.
