It was a struggle before you came.
The midwives thought you will go
You were afflicted beyond measure
Pain and agony darkened your joy
But you were a light in the dark
You shone for both the young and old
Can I ever for get you.
Memories of you are sweet
You were simple and true
Sickness afflicted you at youth
Through it all you were strong
You were a pleasure to be with
You brought smile to many a face
Didi my brother, my very own brother
Can I ever forget your life and times
You were loyal and loving
Chose to be hurt rather than hurt others
You epitomised meekness even when you had reason to brag
Our memories of you are sweet, our thoughts of you are pleasant
You may have left this earthly body
But we know that you are shinning in God's kingdom
We will fly your banner and occupy till we meet again
Didi rest in peace, if you can see us, just know that we love you
You are forever fresh in our minds
Didi, our very own Didi
Your journey on earth was short
But your impact was strong
The young and old miss you
They all remember you for good
You have transited and risen above death and sickness
You are now elevated above oppression
And seated beyond demotion
At the right hand of the father.
Our memories of you shall forever be sweet.
