Africa, what a place to call a motherland
A place with a reasonable, venerable history
A place, strangers find hard to understand
A place with highly profound mystery
A home for the spirited beings and gods
A place full of mystic forces
A place where the heaven and earth live in just
A place where the most powers have their sources
An African child, no matter the oppression
Will never be conquered
Contradicting a stranger’s impression
That he can easily be cornered
An African child’s soul always gets purified
He has a God gifted brave heart
The powers in him always get strangers mystified
So to console their unsatisfied curiosity they call it dark
There is this aura that surrounds me
Very mystique you can feel it but can’t see.
For I am an AfriCAN, so proud and happy I feel
In my reincarnation, part of it I will again love to be
