I was in a lonely world
And there was darkness everywhere
No help from anywhere
There were voices
Voices of fear
There were noises
Noises of terror
There were shadows
Shadows of death
My spirit left
My soul melted
My body gave up
To the shadows of death
And there came a light from above
A light of life
He freed me from fear
Delivered me from terror
Rescued me from death
And gave me life
Life eternal.
