I do not wish to cause you harm
Though you left me harmed body still intact
Arms akimbo,
Do come back.
I would understand what you did to me
Maybe in the afterlife,
But not in this one
Promises of forever together: no more together
I remember when we ran wild, our love was untamed
Round in large fields, we would sing our love song
The sound track of our love was the rhythm of our hearts,
And you had the sweet scent of Daffodils in your hair
As you lay your bed do you lie; indeed we laid ours with perfection,
Little bits of what is right here and there.
Jokes we would tell of how much love we shared
In school,
Nor was the church spared
To the air so nature was aware,
All now a shadow memory
I won’t let fade away.
I stand in our little haven
Where our love was built
Arms akimbo,
And I hear stories say you left to join the trees
To become one with them,
To forever, dance in the winds
This wasn’t our plan
So I stand on this narrow path,
Awaiting your sweet tune
And I shall stand forever akimbo while I think of you.
