FORTIFIABLE FENCE
a. I have been thinking of you lassie
How you are a fence,
Thinking of you
Fortifiable fence around my life.
b. I have been thinking of you lassie
How you are a hedge,
Fortifiable hedge around me
Against all other lass.
c. No one dare come to me for love
As long one knows you are fence
If one should come to me for love
One has to jump through the fence
Since people know you are my fence,
How could one jeopardize one’s life?
d. Fortification, limiting my love;
Fortifiable fence around me
Against all other lass. (2x)

As long one knows you’re my lassie
No one dare come to me for love
Since people know you are my lassie.
f. Day and night I think of why
I am not hand in glove with woman
I see no room for hide-and see game.
g. All the time I think of why
I am not hand in glove with woman
I am in cage within a love fence.
h. I didn’t know love is crime
I see myself as prisoner
I’m bound within a fence
I want to see my jailer
Let her state my wrongs
And make it clear that love is crime
I cannot bail myself.
i. Help me tell my jailer
I want to go to court
To make her prove that love is crime
I cannot bail myself.
j. I want to see my jailer
I didn’t know love is crime
Where is my jailer?
I want to go to court.
