He reigns from eternity
Resplendent in his divinity
Assumed humanity
To cure man's inhumanity
Of the fair virgin born
By whose death we are reborn
He paid the ultimate wage
To soothe the divine rage
Beaten & battered, nailed & killed
By his wounds we are healed
Yet from death he rose
With a mighty triumph over his foes
He ascended into heaven
And made our lives a haven
Still in his divinity to reign
And life eternal gain
