Jesus took with him Peter
and the twin brothers and led them
up a high mountain
where they were alone.

'Lord if my brother keeps on sinning
against me, how many times do I have

all the rest do'
'I will not deny you e'en if I have to

Jesus took with him Peter
and James and his brother John, to a place
called Gethsamane.
Jesus returned to the three disciples
and said to Peter 'how is it
that you three were not able to keep watch
with me e'en for an hour'
Peter drew a sword and struck
the high priest's slave, cutting off
his right ear.
'put your sword back in its place! Do you think
that I will not drink
the cup of suffering which my Father has given
me?
Peter followed from a distance after
Jesus as far as the courtyard
of the high priest's house.
Peter denied it in front of them all
'I swear that I am telling the truth!
May God punish me if I am not'
'I do not know that man! '
Peter went out and wept bitterly waking
from what Jesus earlier told him.
Peter went straight intil the Tomb.
When Peter heard that it was
the Lord, he wrapped his outer garment
round him and jumped
into the water.
'do you love me Peter, more
than these others do? '
