Our bards
Have been bound
And bundled
Into bunkhouses of book barons,
Their mouths bandaged.
Their miens befuddled,
Their bearings lost,
Tis bards’ bondage.
They leave behind
Songs
Soiled,
Struggling in vain
To suture our eardrums
Battered
And our souls
Shattered
By sorrows of bondage.
