Two strangers leave
Two intimates emerge
The lad and the lassie
They looked magnificent
The male was striking
compact and towering
The damsel was an absolute
mix of allure and charm
She had flowing braids
glowing sky blue eyes
and a creamy skin
They matched perfectly
like birds of a feather
Then came the flash floods
from the seven seas
down to the greenlands
It tore them apart
It created a barrier
between the lovebirds
The gush took him up north
The maid went meridional
The outpour seemed endless
But it had to cease
The high waters traced it's way
back to the deep
The trammel finally receded
But they were worlds apart
He was still in this realm
and she in the next
He missed her tenderness,
her softness and warmth
He hastily joined her
She was made for him
They had to be together
They were soulmates.
