Definition:
Been foolish or in the dark about things
Example: Nobody be aboki for area again o refers to a friend, mostly northern nigerian nightguard. Example: Aboki abeg go close gate Hausa word for a male friend. Often misinterpreted to refer to a person of northern Nigerian origin.
A gender sensitive word; Abokia being the female variation of the word. Example: Mutunin aboki na ne.
Example of misuse: The guy na aboki!

(2) used in Southern Nigeria to refer to an Hausa man.
(3) naive person (based on the assumption by southerners that Hausa traders are naive, and can be cheated in business dealings)
