Olufumilayo Ransome Kuti, the "Great Mobilizer", mother of the iconoclastic late Afro beat musician, Fela Kuti.
She was famous for sending a powerful king, the Alake of Ake, in the Western Nigerian city of Abeokuta into exile in England for denying women the right to vote.
An educationist and wife to an Anglican priest, she even founded her own secondary school in Abeokuta to educate and train Nigerian men and women as future leaders.
