A 26-year-old lady in Lagos has been arrested in connection with the death of an expatriate, David Keith. The 33-years-old Briton, Keith was found dead in his hotel room in the morning after having a wild romp with one Quincy Osamajie at a popular hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.
She is being detained at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.
Hooking Keith
Narrating the incident to Saturday Sun, Quincy explained that Keith had complained of a slight headache before she left him in the morning. According to the Edo state-born lady, Keith beckoned on her one night when she was strolling down the street and told her to spend the night with him. After an all night affair, Qunincy said that Keith paid her 50 dollars.
In her own words: " He took my number with a promise to call me whenever he comes to Lagos for business. Last week Wednesday, being April 18, 2007, he called me at the same place at about 8 p.m. I went there and met him at the bar drunk. After sometime, we retired to the room at the hotel.
Morning after
"Minutes later, I left to but suya and on my way, I bought a pack of cigarettes since I noticed that he likes smoking. When I offered him the packet, he told me that he had his own Marlboro. So, we smoked together. Repeatedly he told me that he had slight headache and asked me to help wet his head.
"In the morning, the next day, he went to sleep while I left because his friends were supposed to come for him that morning. Later in the day, I called to know how he was faring but was surprised when another voice answered. The voice told me that he still had headache and was still in the hotel room.
Worried that that was not his initial voice, I went back to the hotel and found out that he was dead. I was arrested and taken to Area F despite my plea of innocence," she narrated.
Quincy who pleads innocence to the white man's death told Saturday Sun she came to Lagos four years ago in search of fun and means of livelihood.
