Nigeria Football Association (NFA) have expressed disappointment over Flying Eagles performance in their nationwide tour. Image maker of the football house, Ademola Olajire, in a chat with Daily Sunsport said the team does not have a championship stuff with the scandalous results it pooled against local clubs and urged the handlers of the team to do something urgent to correct the urgly trend.
He wondered how the team would cope when they confront stiff opposition in Europe and beyond.
"Results pooled by the Flying Eagles, who are expected to face the rest of the world in Canada come July against local teams is not encouraging," Ademola started.
"We wonder how they would cope when they go outside Nigeria to play friendly matches as tune up matches to the World Youth Championship.
“Be that as it may, NFA have not lost hope on a scintilating performance of the team to replicate what the Siasia team did in Holland two years ago. The time is now for the technical crew to adjust on the lapses noticed during the nationwide tour.”
The Flying Eagles in the course of playing friendly matches fell 0–2 to Enyimba International of Aba. They also lost by the same margin to Prime FC of Osogbo and played a 2–2 draw with Lagos United.
