Muslim students laud Fashola on election


The Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria (MSSN) in Lagos, an umbrella body of millions of Muslim students spread across the universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, special education ad professional institutions, as well as secondary schools in the state have sent congratulatory message to the state governor-elect, Barrister Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), on his success in the recently governorship election.

The Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria (MSSN) in Lagos, an umbrella body of millions of Muslim students spread across the universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, special education ad professional institutions, as well as secondary schools in the state have sent congratulatory message to the state governor-elect, Barrister Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), on his success in the recently governorship election.

In a release jointly signed by Abdul Hammed Bankole and Abdul Hakeem Ogunmuyiwa ,president and head, Media Relations of MSSM.

'The overwhelming support received from the Lagos Muslim Students and other teeming Lagosians is not unconnected with his excellent track record as a distinguished legal icon and tireless public servant.

'While we assure him and the incoming administration of our support, advice and encouragement at all times, we implore the governor-elect not to renege on his campaign promises.

We implore him to use his wealth of knowledge to positively build on the good works of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu."
The group also commended the out-going governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his dynamism in governance and steadfastness against challenges.

The muslim students called on the election petition tribunal to handle election cases with the fear of God and the ethics of their profession. Stressing that we believe that peace would reign only when there is truth and justice. The will of the masses must not be subverted. We shall continue to work and pray for the growth and development of our stage and the nation at large."
