Nigeria midfielder Christian Obodo will miss the rest of the Nations Cup qualifiers because of injury.
The 22-year-old, who plays for Italian side Udinese, suffered a cruciate ligament damage while training with his club on Wednesday.
Udinese doctors have confirmed that he will be out of action for five months.
This means he will miss the Super Eagles' Group Three ties against Uganda and Niger in June.
He will also not be available when they host Lesotho in the final qualifier in September as he is expected to return to action in October.
Obodo has scored five goals in 30 appearances for Udinese this season.
