Guess who came to party? The nation's number one chartered accountant, Dr. (Mrs.) Catherine Okpareke of course. However, she was neither at an Owambe or caught in a dance competition.

The president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) who, in case you don't know, also has, prophetic anointing', was honoured recently by the Ikwerre District Presbytery of the Assemblies of God Nigeria in Port Harcourt where she had spent a good part of her early life.

The ICAN president who was described by the church's District Superintendent, Rev. Gift Asuru, as 'a combination of stern discipline and intellectual diversity, and an epitome of beauty" had every reason to feel Christmassy and she made a good show of it as she let go all executive caution to dance and waltz for God.

On hand to celebrate with her were some top officials of ICAN, friends, other professional colleagues and senior clergymen including Apostle Eugene Ogu, Rivers State Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).

As the quest and their hosts later found out, the faultless display of royal dance steps is not the only additional virtue to Mrs. Okpareke's professional exploits. Thanks to Rev. Asuru, who first let it out to the crowd inside the church hall, she also enjoys the enviable grace of prophesy.

One occasion during her undergraduate days, Mrs. Okpareke had visited the ICAN office in Lagos and, 'confidently affirmed" that, 'one day, I shall be the president of this great institute". Last year, that prophesy came to pass as she emerged as the 42nd president of the professional body.
Confirming this later in her speech, the ICAN boss advised Nigerians, particularly her hosts, to put their trust in God and hold tight to their dreams until they are realized.

'Is there something concerning you that God has told you he would do? God is faithful. As you see me standing here today, in 1993, I heard a voice tell me that I will be President of ICAN.
'Today, that which God has said, God has performed. But you have a role to play. You have to be focused and you have to be diligent.

'As you remain focused, you need to be tired of where you are and get higher", she counseled.
Reason the District Superintendent, Rev. Asuru who launched his book, 'secrets of Excellence in Leadership on the occasion, advised all youths to follow Mrs. Okpareke's example.
