Former Minister of works, Adeseye Ogunlewe, may have been arrested for further investigation into the murder of Funsho Williams, who was a governorship aspirant in Lagos on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Last week, Inspector General of Police (IG), Sunday Ehindero, paraded four new suspects of the murder. Williams' handset was recovered from one of them.
Ehindero promised to pick up more suspects.
Sources at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) disclosed on Monday that Ogunlewe, who has been taken to Abuja, will help unravel the motive for the murder.
Detectives said they are making a headway and would soon conclude the probe.
Ogunlewe was arrested in Lagos last Friday.
He had earlier been detained along with other PDP members immediately after Williams was killed, but was released after preliminary investigation.
