Ethiopian Airlines has marked the formal commencement of a mutually beneficial relationship between Zenith Bank Plc with the signing of the online payment system arrangement between the two companies.
Ethiopian Airlines has marked the formal commencement of a mutually beneficial relationship between Zenith Bank Plc with the signing of the online payment system arrangement between the two companies.
The Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc, Mr. Jim Ovia, signed on behalf of the bank while Ethiopian Airlines General Manager Nigeria, Mr. Paulos Legesse, signed on behalf of the airline.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Mr. Legesse said that with the agreement made with Zenith Bank, Ethiopian Airlines customers could make bookings, buy tickets and travel from anywhere in Nigeria without having to come to Ethiopian Airlines ticketing office. All they need to do, according to him, is to make booking by phone, walk into the nearest Zenith Bank branch and make payment for tickets, collect tickets at the airline ticket office or at the airport at time of check-in. He said that online payment means was the order of the day and simplified the work process.
Speaking earlier, Ovia said that the online payment was a business model that had been perfected by Zenith Bank over years and stated further that the relationship would benefit Ethiopian Airlines as it worked flawlessly to drastically reduce paper work and make room for more efficiency. Looking into the future, he predicted an upsurge of customers and improvement in operational efficiency because of the Ethiopian Airlines/Zenith Bank relationship.
