A 38-year-old widow in Ogoni, Rivers State, Mrs. Daughter Ndasor whose sister-in-law was killed by suspected ritualists three years ago, has cried out over non-prosecution of a prime suspect in the case.

Besides, the widow who now caters for ten children including the four kids of the deceased and two other children of a late sister wants urgent assistance to enable her shoulder the burden.
Narrating her plight to Daily Sun, Mrs. Ndasor, a native of Bomu in Gokana local government area of the state said her brother's wife Naomi, was hacked to death on a farm in July, 2004, by unknown persons.

She alleged that the killers had begun cutting some of her vital organs when a man who watched the gory incident from the top of a palm tree screamed and they fled the scene apparently not knowing where the sound came from.
Later, with the help of the witness, the body was found and a suspect who was identified by the man, arrested.

Mrs. Ndasor said her family was later threatened by the parents of the suspect from Bai-Ogoi village, adding that she was not aware of further investigation of the incident till date.
The widow, a level O2 Civil Servant with the Naval College in Onne, said the burial of the deceased whose body was deposited at Eleme General Hospital has now been fixed for February 21, this year without ensuring that justice was done in the matter.

'We want justice for our family and for Naomi's four innocent little children. The government should order fresh investigation of the case and protect us," she said.
She also stated that the upkeep of ten kids including her biological four children who are now in school, has become one big burden too heavy for her to bear.

'I want the government to come to my aid because the load is too heavy for me to carry. Also, individuals and organizations should please help me. I am a poor widow and I have no other person or place to turn to for help".
The widow would specifically want Governor Peter Odili and his wife, Justice Mary Odili, to extend 'their kindness to her and her ten little hungry mouths.
