Gbenga, a block maker in Ikorodu, Lagos is currently being detained at the Kirikiri Prisons for allegedly defiling an eight-year old girl.
Nurita Ayinde was said to have gone to his grandfather's house for Xmas holiday when Gbenga allegedly lured her into his friend's house and had carnal knowledge of her. However the next day, Nurita's mother came for her and noticed blood stains on her pants. She was taken to the hospital where it was confirmed that she was defiled. The family reported the case to the Ikorodu Police Station, which took Nurita back to her grandfather's home.
At the granny's home, the police paraded all eligible men in the premises but she simply said none of them touched her. Until Gbenga came and she willingly said that he was the one. She went straight to the room and the very spot she was defiled by the suspect. Gbenga however denied the allegation stating that he is impotent and incapable of making love.
The claim of impotence by the suspect has prompted the police to decide that he is to undergo proper medical test to assert or disclaim the position.
Blood in her panties
Narrating the incident, Muyiwa Ayinde the father of the little Nurita Ayinde said that he had sent three of his kids to stay with his father at Ikorodu on December 24. After the vacation, on January 14, he sent his wife to bring her back. Hours later she called raising alarm over the bloodstains on her pant.
He advised her to clean her up probably, and it might have been from a wound, but when the bleeding persisted he rushed the young girl to Gbagada General Hospital where the doctor confirmed that she had been defiled.
She was then referred to the Island Hospital where she is currently receiving treatment. "I asked her whether anyone played with her private part and she told me that a man whom she knew before took her to a room promising to give her money".

Little Nurita who refused to be confused by the numerous men presented before her pointed at Gbenga and offered to take the police to the point where the abuse took place. On getting there she pointed at the door to prove her claim. The police further asked her to describe the room, which she said is without a bed and that the deed was done on the floor. On how she got into the room, Nurita told the police that Gbenga asked her to come to his house that he was going to give her money. Blindly she followed him and Gbenga asked her to lie down. "He pushed up my cloth and lay on me. The thing was paining me and I was shouting but he refused to stand up. When he stood up he drove me out of the house without giving me any money", she said.
‘My prick no dey work'
Gbenga who hails from Ibadan said that he is a vulcanizer but he is currently a block maker. He admitted knowing the girl who came to Baba Seke house for holiday.
"On that day I was at the environment to see my friend. I came outside to buy biscuit and later went inside. I did not at any point touch or beat her. I am impotent and I cannot make love to a woman. People who know me can testify to that. I am surprised that amongst all the men that were showed her she picked me", she said.
Docked
He was however charged to court where he pleaded not guilty. He is currently remanded at the Kirikiri Prison pending when investigations would be completed.
The charge sheet stated that: You Gbenga Oyerinde on the 27th day of January at Oreta village via Ikorodu magisterial district did unlawfully have carnal knowledge of one Nurita Ajoke Ayinde, an eight-year old girl thereby committed an offence punishable under section 218 of the Criminal Code Cap. 32 vol. 11 Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2003.
