A 73-year old man, David Adepegba, and his friend, Kadiri Adeniyi, has been arraigned at an Ikeja High Court presided over by Justice Mufutau Oloko-Oba for engaging in the business of offering young girls for prostitution.
A 73-year old man, David Adepegba, and his friend, Kadiri Adeniyi, has been arraigned at an Ikeja High Court presided over by Justice Mufutau Oloko-Oba for engaging in the business of offering young girls for prostitution.
In a six-counts charge, the duo was accused of offering five young girls for prostitution at a hotel situated at 13, Shonola Street, Aguda, Lagos.
The names of the girls and their ages were given as: Akpan Gift(22), Onomeh Israel(20) and Roseline Okeke(20). Others are, Comfort Edet(20) and Stella Matthew(28).
However, both men pleaded not guilty to the offence which was alleged to have been committed on January 4, 2006.
In his submission, the prosecutor, Emodogo Rosemary, told the court that the offence was contrary to section 15(a) of the Trafficking in Person (prohibition) Law Enforcement and Administration Act, 2003, as ammended.
