Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Osun State has appealed to the former National Deputy hairman (south) of the party, Alahaji Shuaib Oyedokun and others who left for the Action Cogress (AC) to return as the mistakes that drove them away "are being corrected."

The state governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola made the appeal while featuring on a monthly programme tagged: "Open forum" on the state radio and television Saturday morning.
Oyinlola who said their defection to another party was caused by certain mistakes "which I now realise as the leader of the party are being looked into in the interest of the party and good governance"

He insisted that Oyedokun and others in AC should be brought back to the fold adding: "I have been going round to tell them that this (PDP) is their party.
"Look at what they did to them in AC. How can somebody reasonable enough said a political guru like Baba Oyedokun is not fit to hold tangible position in a party?" he asked rhetorically

He disclosed further that the PDP would be ready to welcome and accept them back to its fold in the state saying: "It is their party, they built it and they should continue to nurture it"
The governor who said he has been reaching out to all the aggrieved admitted that there were mistakes, but added that they were not delibrate. "As the leader of the party, I am learning better and I think there are certain things that I now know better."

While assuring the electorate that government would intensify efforts to make life better or the people, he said his party has no alternative for now as "those struggling to come back to the state have been tested and failed the people."

Similarly, Oyinlola, said that the Action Congress will record monumental failure in the 2007 general elections.

Prince Oyinlola, who was answering a question on Saturday during this month's edition of his monthly radio/television live interactive session with the people in Osogbo, described as gratuitous insult on the people of Osun State, the importation of Lagos politicians by the AC to contest elections in the state.
