Two young men in their 20s are on their way to a five-year jail term for allegedly getting involved in homosexuality. Ogadi Edobi and Uche Ukebi were arrested by policemen attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Ikeja after a report was made to the police.

Ogadi, 21, who claimed to be the ‘wife', disclosed that he met Ukebi, who is the ‘husband', this year. According to him, he had gone to buy some provisions from Ukebi's shop when he proposed to him.
He said: 'Ukebi's shop and mine are both on Awolowo road, Ikeja. I am learning to trade in electronics at my master's shop, while Ukebi had a provision store. Early this year, when my master sent me to his shop to buy a few things, he professed his love for me. He told me how much he loved and cherished me, advising me not to follow any woman."
With sugar coated words like ‘I love you' and freebies such as chin-chin, biscuits, La Casera drink, yoghurt, among others, Ukebi, 27, found in Ogadi a willing heart.
The cat was let out of the bag when Ogadi allegedly stole his master's N685,000 and handed it over to Ukebi.
Ogadi said: 'I' did not know what happened to me when I stole my master's money at the end of last month. I gave it to my ‘husband' in the night. Whenever my master asked if I took the money, my tongue was tied. Two days ago, my boss asked me about the money and I summoned up the courage to confess to him. Immediately I told him, who I gave it to, I started vomiting and fainted. I was later woken up by fervent prayers."
When pressed to reveal their sexual activities, Ogadi said that Ukebi had a long table in his shop on which they had sex regularly. He said: 'He has this long table and different rags which he used to clean up. He would start by kissing me all over my body and telling me how gorgeous I am. He had two styles.
'At times, he would ask me to part my laps, he would then insert his manhood and ask me to close my laps very tight and squeeze them, he would then start to shout until he ejaculates. His other method was for me to bend down and he would come from behind and ‘chuk' me with his penis. There were times when I did not want to go to him, but he would persuade me. I also noticed that anytime he gave me chin-chin, I would not be myself.
'There was a time, he took me to his house at Mangoro at Iyana-Ipaja. After he finished, he rubbed himself with a white cloth. He was always telling me to stay away from women because they were not good for me, insisting that he had everything I wanted in a woman."
The ‘husband', Ukebi, however, denied all the allegations. He said: 'I don't know the type of spirit that is inside this boy. He is telling lies against me. I am not his ‘husband' and he did not give me any money."
Detectives at SARS disclosed that they were not going to put the young men in the cell with other suspects. They said: 'We can't risk putting them in the cell, so that they won't pounce on the suspects. We would find somewhere else for them."
