Nasarawa State Commissioner for Housing and Environment, Alhaji Ibrahim Zango Ashabutu is dead. Ashabutu died at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) after a brief illness.
Nasarawa State Commissioner for Housing and Environment, Alhaji Ibrahim Zango Ashabutu is dead. Ashabutu died at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) after a brief illness.
Ashabutu, a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, was sometime secretary to the then Lafia Local Government and also a former Plateau State Commissioner for Finance. He was a board member to the Nasarawa State Primary Education Board, a Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Nasarawa State governor and later Commisioner for Housing and Environment.
Late Ashabutu is survived by his wife, Hajiya Aisha Ashabutu, children and many relations.
He has since been buried in his house at Bukan-Sidi according to Islamic rites. Governor Abdullahi Adamu and his deputy, Mr. Labaran Maku were among thousands of sympathizers that attended the funeral Wednesday.
