The National Headquarters of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has ordered the closure of 13 security companies allegedly operating illegally in Lagos State.

The National Headquarters of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has ordered the closure of 13 security companies allegedly operating illegally in Lagos State.

This disclosure was made known by the Head of Private Guard Companies Department of the NSCDC, Assistant Command Paul Ayeni during 'Operation shut down illegal security companies" in Abeokuta , Ogun State capital.

The Commandant also added that during the exercise, a man simply identified as Eniola was arrested for practising with stolen licence in Lagos which he allegedly stole in Ibadan , Oyo State capital.

Ayeni declared that tough times await illegal security company operators all over the country, adding that the (NSCDC) would not hesitate to revoke licences of erring private guard operators in the country.

To serve as deterrent to others who engage in illegal operation, Ayeni said the arrested fake security guard who was arrested in Lagos had been taken to Abuja for prosecution.
The shut down illegal security companies include Blue Bird Security Company, Solad Security Services Ltd, Airtight Security Limited, Royal Ways Investment Security Company Limited.

Others include Shepherd Guards Ltd. Valiant Security Company Ltd, Robsec Guard Lt, Switt Security Services Ltd, Bet Security Services, Systems Guard Ltd, Zikmod Security, and Initial Security Company Limited among several others.
