A The age-long relationship between two political colossus, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu of Imo State and Arisekola-Alao of Ibadan blossomed further weekend, as in a marriage between their children on Saturday in Atta Ikeduru.

Mr. Musty Alao, an accountant and Ezinne Iwuanyanwu, a banker both based in London performed their traditional marriage rites to cement their bargain to be united in love forever.

Both Chiefs Iwuanyanwu and Alao share a common bond as detribalized Nigerians.

The Ibadan-born philanthropist agreed with Aha Eji Aga Mba Ndigbo that inter-tribal marriage is a veritable instrument for promotion of national unity. For this reason, they willingly consented to the marriage proposal of their beloved children which was sealed last Saturday in the presence of distinguished Nigerians.

The big occasion, nevertheless, turned out to be one of the largest and elegant gathering of distinguished citizens in the South East.

In attendance were Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone 9, Mr. Ifeanyichukwu Aduba who represented the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the zone, Chief Tony Ezenna, Chairman of Orange Drugs Ltd cum governorship aspirant and his wife, Chief Gerry Chukwueke, a business mogul, Dr. (Mrs.) Theresa Agbonma Udenwa, wife of the state governor, Ambassador Greg Mbadiwe, Chief Godfrey Dikeocha, Special Adviser to the governor, Justice Mary Odili wife of Rivers State governor, Chief Chris Okewulonu who represented Imo State government.

Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme of the Owerri High Court, Chief A.B.C. Orjiaka, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, Chairman, Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, Senator Bright, Nwanne, Group Managing Director Champion Group, Mr. Emma Agu, who led a group of management staff to the event as well as Chief Bob Ogbuagu former M.D/EIC of the company.

From the South West came Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu, Alhaji Arisekola-Alao and his Chief of Staff, Dr. Saka Balogun, Chief Rasheed Adesokan, Otunba Dr. Chris Adebayo, Alhaji Liad Tella, Gov. Alao Akala, Hazeem Gbolani, Deputy Governor of Oyo State and Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Layiwola Olakiyo, Chief Femi Coker, a Director of Champion Newspapers.

Members of National Assembly at occasion include Hones Leo Awoyemi, Tayo Sarumi, Ayo Adeseun, Dapo Oyedokun, Taofeek Arapaja.

Chief Arisekola Alao described his in-law, Chief Iwuanyanwu on the occasion as nationalist of high repute and noted that he was happy that his son, Musty is marrying the daughter of one of his friends in Igboland, Chief Iwuanyanwu.

Corroborating his statement that Chief Iwuanyanwu is a respected nationalist, Chief Adedibu stated that the member of Board of Trustees of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is one man we respect because of his national disposition.

The occasion was marked with pump and ceremony, with Ikeduru standing still for the highly respected eminent citizens in attendance.
